Public Services

Donations 
Donations of books, magazines and other items are always accepted. Donations may be brought to the front desk during open hours. If you are donating a substantial number of items please call ahead so that staff can be prepared. Receipts are available upon request. 

Historic Section and 
Obits / Research 
We house the Malheur Historical Society's book collection and have a large local / northwest area collection of our own. Many of the library's regular historic collection can be checked out.   The library has a large collection of older newspapers, magazines, and microfilm. We also house the Malheur Historical Society's book collection and a large local / northwest area collection. Law Library Computer 
The site is provided by the Malheur County Law Library  upon recommendation from the Malheur County Bar Association. The Law Library Computer provides access to the West Law Library Site and Malheur County Courts Information Site. It is free for public use. Copies are available for 20 cents per page. Patrons are asked to check in at Circulation Desk to use the Law Library Computer. The Library also has the 2013 Oregon Revised Statues for reference.

Magazines -  Adult/Teen Magazine List     (Children's Magazine List is being updated at this time)
The Library has a large selection of adult and children/s magazines and a wonderful reading section. All but the current month of the a magazine may be checked out for 21 days. A large number of our selections are also available in previous years. Ask at the desk to view previous years of selected magazines. Children's magazines can be found in the children's section of the library and may be checked out also. The library is happy to provide online magazine options for research and personal interest at Gale Magazines and Newsbank - ask for passwords for these programs at the front desk.

Meeting Room (

The Library has a meeting room that is available to the public for nonprofit use. Reservations are required. The room seats up to 50 people. Some chairs and tables are available.There is no charge to use the Room. 

Test Proctoring

Tours 
The library does group tours and library use programs. If you have a group and wish to set up a tour please contact the library for available dates. Please remember to have an approximate count of participants when calling. There is no charge for these tours and programs. 

Used Book  Sale 
                                                                        There are two racks of books, magazines and videos at the front of the Library marked for sale. There is a regular rotation of items on these shelves. The money received from these sales go to the purchase of new books. All materials are sold as is. Watch for specials and larger seasonal sales.

Paper backs - 25 cents each 
Hard backs - 50 cents each 
Magazines - 10 cents each 
Videos and Audio Books -$1.00 each

Volunteers                                                                           The Ontario Community Library welcomes volunteers.
