Library Opening Late

for Solar Event

The Library will open at Noon on Aug 21.

Ontario Oregon is in the path of the 2017 Solar Eclipse taking place on August 21, 2017.  The eclipse will begin at 10:10 am MDT and reach totality by 11:25 am MDT.  Totality will last approximately 1 minute and 26 seconds.   Given good weather conditions and clear skies, viewing should be fantastic.  This event hasn’t happened in the US in 38 years.  The next total eclipse over North America will visit Mexico, the US and Canada on April 8, 2024 and will not be visible in Oregon or Idaho.
